To minimise problems with spyware and adware you may want to install the following files.  We use and strongly recommend the following security and maintenance software packages (in addition to a firewall and anti-virus software).


 (Trial version is free, full version requires payment) - PC Tools make an excellent product to keep you system running smoothly and effectively.

We use PC-cillin and find it offers good value for money. It is not as well known as Norton's, McAfee and other commercial internet security suites, but it does the job well and without much fuss.  If you don't wish to pay for security I recommend you have a look at AVG for anti-virus and check out Zone Alarm for a free firewall.

PDF Reader Downloads: If you require a PDF reader to view some of the documents from our website, you can download one by clicking on either link below.  We use and recommend the 'FoxIt PDF reader' as it is a much smaller (and therefore faster) download, it also opens much faster than the Adobe product, and in our experience works just as well as the Adobe reader.  If you prefer the Adobe Reader the link is also included here.

irfanview image editor (Free Download)
Irfanview is one of the best (and free) picture viewers / editors available for download.  This software has many great features (including the ability to batch process images) that is normally only available in highly priced commercial software.

Have a look at Whirlpool.  Whirlpool is an Australian based website that allows people to compare all available ISP's, pricing plans and options for your internet connection.  Whirlpool Australia's premier site for broadband consumer choice and is highly recommended.

This website is one of the most useful sites we have found as it provides great maps for Australian Locations - not always easy to find on the web.  Just type in the location you want to find and follow the (fully scaleable - or 'zoomable' if you are a non tech type) map to find your way around Australia.  Also a great way to look for real-estate as many of the dwelling for sale or rent are shown on these maps.
